These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TradeRitual ("we", "us", "our"), a cloud-based trading journal application available at traderitual.app. By using TradeRitual, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1.1 Description. TradeRitual is a trading journal and analytics tool for recording and analyzing trades. It is not a trading platform, broker, or financial advisor.
1.2 Subscription. TradeRitual offers three tiers: Starter (free), Growth, and Pro. Each includes cloud sync and varies in features and usage limits. For current plan details and pricing, see our Pricing page. New signups receive a 14-day Growth trial.
1.3 Our ownership. TradeRitual's code, design, branding, and all intellectual property belong to us. You retain full ownership of your trading data.
1.4 Your data license. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service. We do not use your data for any other purpose.
2.1 Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity under it.
2.2 Acceptable use. You agree not to use TradeRitual for illegal purposes, to harm others, to distribute malware, or to interfere with the service's operation.
2.3 Data accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the trade data you enter. We do not verify your entries.
2.4 Age requirement. You must be at least 18 years old to use TradeRitual.
3.1 Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges.
3.2 Cancellation. You may cancel anytime from Settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.
3.3 Refunds. Contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.
3.4 Price changes. We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are honored until renewal.
3.5 Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. Prices displayed may not include tax.
NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE. TradeRitual is a journaling and analytics tool only. Nothing in this application constitutes financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner.
NO RECOMMENDATIONS. We do not provide recommendations regarding securities, assets, or financial instruments. Analytics, metrics, win rates, and P&L calculations are based solely on data you enter and may contain errors.
RISK OF LOSS. Trading stocks, forex, futures, options, cryptocurrencies, and other financial instruments involves significant risk. You can lose some or all of your invested capital. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
SEEK PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. Consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. All trading decisions are your own responsibility.
5.1 Term. These Terms are effective when you create an account and continue until terminated.
5.2 Termination by you. You may delete your account at any time in Settings > Privacy. All data is deleted immediately.
5.3 Termination by us. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, are used for illegal activity, or remain inactive for more than 2 years. We will notify you when possible.
5.4 Effect. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Data deletion follows the timeline in our Privacy Policy.
6.1 As-is. TradeRitual is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6.2 No guarantee. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the service will meet your specific requirements.
7.1 Trading losses. Under no circumstances shall TradeRitual be liable for any trading losses, investment losses, or financial damages of any kind.
7.2 Data. We are not liable for loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to data, including lost trades, incorrect calculations, or sync failures.
7.3 Cap. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
7.4 Exclusions. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions limit these exclusions; in such cases, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TradeRitual from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your trading activities, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
9.1 Informal resolution. Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
9.2 Arbitration. Disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration, except for small claims court matters.
9.3 Class action waiver. You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in class actions or representative actions.
10.1 Changes. We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10.2 Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
10.3 Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
10.4 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TradeRitual.
10.5 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where TradeRitual operates.
