About TradeRitual
TradeRitual is a trading journal. You record the trades you have taken, and it works out how you are actually performing — win rate, expectancy, risk, drawdown, and which of your habits correlate with your results.
It is a web application. Your journal is written to your browser first and synced to the cloud afterwards, so it keeps working when the network does not. There is a free tier that includes cloud sync.
Who makes it
TradeRitual is built and run by Sapience Design, a small independent software studio. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any broker. It does not place trades, hold funds, or give financial advice.

What you can journal
- Stocks
- Equities, including partial fills and multi-leg scaling.
- Options
- Single-leg and multi-leg, with contract multipliers.
- Futures
- Contract multipliers and tick values per instrument.
- Forex
- Currency pairs, with per-account base-currency conversion.
- Crypto
- Spot only. Crypto options and other derivatives are not supported.
Getting trades in
There are three ways: type a trade in by hand, upload a file your broker exported, or connect a brokerage account for automatic daily sync on the paid plans.
20 brokers have a dedicated file-import parser, and 33 brokerages support automatic sync. Any broker not on either list can still be imported through the generic CSV wizard, which maps arbitrary column headers onto trade fields.

How your data is handled
Trades are stored in your browser and synced to a hosted Postgres database so they survive a lost device. Connecting a brokerage uses a read-only third-party connection: TradeRitual can read positions and history, and cannot place orders or move money. You can export everything you have entered, and you can delete your account and its data.
